Authorities in Chihuahua reported the dismantling of a criminal cell and the rescue of 15 migrants in Ciudad Juárez. Unofficial reports indicate that the members of the group are affiliated with the La Línea criminal organization.
The detainees were identified as Miguel Ángel S. H., Adrián Alejandro V. M., José Luis R. G., José Ángel O. R., and María Cristina M. H.
The arrest of the five individuals was reported on April 19 by the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), which specified that the operation took place in the Chihuahua neighborhood.
Authorities seized a rifle, a shotgun, a dozen magazines, and more than 290 rounds of ammunition from the suspects. Similarly, investigators, supported by the Tactical Analysis Directorate and the Sentinel Platform, located and secured a vehicle involved in the incident: a black Grand Cherokee with Michoacán license plates.
A report to the 911 emergency number indicated that a group of people had forcibly entered a residence on Rubén Posada Pompa Street, prompting the deployment of members of the Special Detective Group and the SWAT Team to secure the perimeter and intervene at the scene.
