U.S. authorities announced the life sentence handed down to Jimenez James Love, an American man found guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, and who worked for the Sinaloa Cartel.
A report published by the U.S. Department of Justice details that the 51-year-old, a resident of Harlingen, Texas, was found guilty by a jury following a two-day trial.
During the hearing, some witnesses testified that the now-convicted man used at least ten young women to distribute drugs and even boasted about smuggling methamphetamine into them. James Love also had his own distribution network.
“Testimonies and evidence revealed that Love was hired as a driver to transport drugs for the Sinaloa Cartel. Love’s shipment was one of many made by this branch of the organization,” is part of the report from authorities shared on April 17.
