Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda dismissed as false any claims of an agreement with U.S. authorities regarding her legal or immigration status.
Regarding the audio circulating on social media, she stated that an intermediary had contacted her to propose a meeting at the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana.
The governor noted that she has met with U.S. officials as part of her official duties.
“I am at ease,” she reiterated, while also discussing President Claudia Sheinbaum’s visit to San Quintín, Tijuana, and Mexicali.
She explained that she had even parted ways with the legal representative she had retained in the United States.
