In the municipality of Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo, federal forces apprehended Canadian citizen Robert Skojo—who also appears in official records under the names “Denis” or “Robert”—following an intelligence exchange with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the simultaneous execution of search warrants at three properties in the city of Cancun.

International investigations identify Skojo as a high-priority target for the Canadian government, as he served as a leader and logistics operator for a transnational criminal organization that functioned under the guise of the outlaw motorcycle club known as the “Hells Angels.”

The group utilized this organizational structure to coordinate clandestine operations, including international cocaine trafficking, firearms smuggling, extortion, and organized crime on a global scale. The fugitive was subject to a conviction—handed down in absentia by Canadian courts—for conspiracy to traffic drugs and for breaching court orders by failing to appear in court.

The detainee—described in official records as being 1.83 meters tall, weighing approximately 88 kilograms, and having a fair complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes—has been placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office. He was arrested pursuant to a warrant for formal extradition and is the subject of an active “Red Notice” issued by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).

The fugitive’s international criminal history includes a prior incident at the U.S. border, when his then-partner—former Playboy model and 2004 Playmate of the Year, Colleen Shannon—attempted to bring him into the United States without proper documentation. On that occasion, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents from the Swanton Sector arrested the woman in the town of Burke, New York, while she was driving a Bentley sedan owned by Skojo, valued at $90,000.

During the encounter, U.S. authorities seized the vehicle and also confiscated $18,700 in cash, a necklace valued at $125,000, and a luxury watch with a market value of $37,000—items belonging to the Canadian fugitive. As a result, the former model faced federal charges for human smuggling.
