After months of keeping a low profile, Luis Miguel reappeared on August 6 with a message dedicated to Mexico in a new Coca-Cola commercial marking the brand’s centenary in the country.
The video, titled “Our formula is always being together,” runs for one minute and 44 seconds and shows the singer at a Mexican hacienda, surrounded by traditions.

In the clip, “El Sol de México” (The Sun of Mexico) looks at postcards and opens a glass bottle of the soda while reminiscing about the country, set to the song “El Viajero.”
The singer opens the message with the phrase, “Mexico is and will forever be my place in the world,” and goes on to reflect on what national identity means to him.
Among his most shared lines are: “There is something about this country that tastes different, as if it had a formula,” and “The glass… always looks half full.”
The message concludes with the line that was most widely shared on social media: “There is something about Mexico that makes it the best country in the world (…) Long live Mexico—yes, indeed!”
