The controversy facing presenter Pedro Sola over his alleged promotion of animal abuse could lead to his early departure from TV Azteca, according to new press reports.
Animal rights groups launched a petition on Change.org demanding sanctions against Sola after he stated on the show *Ventaneando* that he wished to throw poisoned meat in pet-friendly areas.
The organization “Va por sus derechos” joined the online backlash. In a statement posted to its official accounts, the NGO confirmed it had filed a criminal complaint against Pedro Sola and Pati Chapoy with the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) regarding “acts constituting probable crimes” stemming from the comments made.
