The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrested Karla Guadalupe Hernández and Harumi Guadalupe in the Coyoacán borough. They are the aunt and cousin, respectively, of Irving Herrera—alias “El Irving”—a leader within “La Unión Tepito” accused of controlling extortion, street-level drug dealing, and theft (primarily in the Cuauhtémoc, Venustiano Carranza, and Iztapalapa boroughs) on behalf of one of the group’s factions.
Harumi Guadalupe is also the sister of Toshiro Tadeo Segura, who was arrested on August 11 for his ties to this same criminal cell.
While conducting patrols at the intersection of Quinceo and Amacuzac streets in the Hermosillo neighborhood, police officers spotted the two women handling plastic bags on the street.
Officers conducted a search and discovered various bags of drugs among their belongings, as well as a firearm with five rounds of ammunition. Seized items included two bags containing four kilograms of marijuana, 47 small bags of marijuana, 93 doses of methamphetamine, 24 doses of cocaine, a suitcase, and a vehicle.
In a separate operation against this criminal group—this time in the Cuauhtémoc borough—capital police arrested two additional members. These individuals operated under the cell of Daniel Badillo (alias “El Kevin”), a lieutenant to Óscar Andrés Flores (alias “El Lunares”), the last dominant leader of “La Unión Tepito.”
The men were identified as José Enrique and Donovan Arturo—street-level drug dealers arrested in the Morelos and Guerrero neighborhoods, respectively—during a joint operation with federal authorities.
