Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, reported that Juan Andrés Vega Carranza and his father—Juan Vega Arredondo, a physician by profession—have been found alive.
Agents from the State of Mexico Secretariat of Security (SSEM) were the ones who located the two men. It is worth noting that Juan Andrés Vega was reported missing on April 13 after he set out to search for his father, who had been unaccounted for since several days prior.
“The Mayor of Taxco de Alarcón, Juan Andrés Vega Carranza, and his father—who was deprived of his liberty on April 11—were located by personnel from @SS_Edomex,” the official shared via his social media channels.
