An audio message sent by Agostina Vega to a group of friends moments before her disappearance has become a central piece of the judicial case file investigating the whereabouts of the 14-year-old teenager, who has been missing in Córdoba since last Saturday.

The recording reveals that the young girl planned to meet with her mother’s boyfriend to organize a family surprise—a detail that investigators are analyzing to reconstruct her final hours.
“I have to go with Mom’s boyfriend to pull off a surprise for my mom. I have to sneak out,” Agostina can be heard saying in the message, which was shared by *Cadena 3*. The recording was sent shortly before all contact with her was lost and now forms part of the case file overseen by Prosecutor Raúl Garzón.

The only person currently detained in connection with the case is Claudio Barrelier, a municipal employee identified as the last person to have had contact with the minor. As Friday unfolded, the investigation took on new dimensions: security camera footage was incorporated, testimony was gathered from the private taxi driver who transported the young girl, and conflicting accounts emerged between the family circle and the primary suspect.

One of the most notable twists in the investigation arrived this Friday, courtesy of Barrelier’s own defense attorney. Lawyer Jorge Sánchez del Bianco revealed that his client altered part of his alibi while testifying for the second time before Prosecutor Garzón: he acknowledged that the young girl seen in a video entering his home is, in fact, Agostina, and that she remained inside the house for approximately half an hour.

The defendant’s initial statement had denied this specific detail. “He lied out of fear, to protect his daughter,” Sánchez del Bianco explained, attempting to justify the shift in his client’s account.
