The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) has executed an arrest warrant for four alleged members of the criminal group “Los Vallarta” for their suspected involvement in the homicide of a man in the municipality of Chicoloapan.
The detainees have been identified as Ismael “N,” José Joel “N,” José Javier “N,” and Eduardo Geovanni “N,” alias “El Camello.” The arrests were carried out in coordination with the State Secretariat of Security (SSEM) and the Chimalhuacán Municipal Police.
How the four suspects were arrested
The FGJEM reported that the capture operations involved the joint participation of three agencies: the Attorney General’s Office itself, the SSEM, and the Chimalhuacán Municipal Police.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office executed the arrest warrant following authorization from a judge, based on investigations that identified the individuals likely responsible for the crime. Ismael “N,” José Joel “N,” José Javier “N,” and Eduardo Geovanni “N” have been admitted to the Texcoco Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center, where they remain at the disposal of a judge who will determine their legal status.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, the four men are believed to belong to a criminal cell known as “Los Vallarta.” This organization is linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), which is associated with serious crimes such as homicide, illegal seizure of property, and kidnapping.
Reconstruction of the homicide in Chicoloapan
The incident that triggered the investigation took place on October 7. According to initial inquiries by the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office, José Joel “N” and José Javier “N” allegedly entered the victim’s home, located in Chicoloapan.
