Jesús Antonio ‘N’, alias El Peli, a relevant operator of Genaro Aarón Pérez Avendaño, alias El 21 or El Chamaco, of the Los Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, was arrested.
Along with El Peli, three other people were apprehended as part of the security reinforcement in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and in a coordinated action by federal institutions.
According to Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), El Peli coordinated the logistics, supply, and economic resources of the organization from the sale of drugs; In addition, he participated in the deprivation of people’s freedom.
Elements from the Secretariat of National Defense (Defense), Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and the National Intelligence Center participated in the operation.
“Operations will continue permanently to weaken and dismantle the criminal structures responsible for generating violence in Sinaloa,” García Harfuch added.
