The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) has arrested Elías “N,” identified as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of Farath Coronel—known as the “Mexican Warlock” (*Brujo Mexicano*) and a contributor to the program *Hoy*. The crime took place on the morning of Friday, September 4, at the victim’s home in the Bosques del Lago neighborhood of Cuautitlán Izcalli.
According to preliminary investigations, Elías “N” worked as a private security guard for Coronel. Following the attack, neighbors alerted the authorities; security agents arrived at the property and found the influencer dead.
The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor, who is compiling the case file. Authorities will determine his legal status and request a hearing before a control judge for the initial proceedings.
Prior to Elías “N”’s arrest, an audio recording attributed to an alleged friend of Farath Coronel circulated, having been disseminated by media outlets such as *TV Notas*. In the recording, the man recounts a possible sequence of events and names the bodyguard as the person allegedly responsible for the attack.
According to this account, Farath, Elías, and another man identified as “Kendal” were together shortly before the crime occurred. The alleged friend claims that the psychic had an argument with his bodyguards and describes Elías as having an explosive temper.
