Christine Escobar has become a role model.
Christine Escobar is a mother, wife, business coach, therapist, and founder of Gracefully Fierce, an organization that offers support to women to empower themselves and change their habits and thoughts about traditional molds that could serve as obstacles to progress.
And now, she shares with us that internal work that she does every day and every week to be able to achieve her goals and maintain a healthy mind.
“For me it is very important to start my week with goals and rituals to keep me on track. I don’t
like to be unprepared because then I am hard on myself for not planning. My best weeks are
when I plan and prepare,” said Christine Escobar.
For Christine Escobar, the positive message is very important. Insist that the change is within us and believe that things can be changed. Despite having a difficult childhood, she set out to move forward, to change her life.
“I usually take time on Sundays to make a list of my top tasks I need to accomplish. I also open
my calendar and make sure I am prepared for upcoming meetings, events, things the kids will be
doing or need, etc. I tend to plan my meals and how many days I need to cook dinner so that
way I don’t waste time going to the grocery store or order out because I didn’t plan out my
week.”, she said.
Not everything is planning and putting aside those moments of peace and enjoying time to be with her.
“The first thing I do when I get up is wake up my kids and go make some coffee. I have made it
important to sit for a few minutes to enjoy my coffee since the day can get hectic. I call them my
moments of pleasure.”, she adds.
Although she does not meditate, she reflects it in his diary and “pray or say affirmations depending on how I am feeling and if I need an extra push”.
Part of her habits is the concern to have a healthy meal, therefore, she worries to have a menu that helps her positively during the day.
“ I usually have greens first thing in the morning and have a healthy breakfast or a shake
depending on the schedule for the day”.
Although she worries every day and every week to maintain the same habits, she is not used to doing the same things.
“I do not do the same thing every week as things change all the time. I am not very routine as my
life is very diverse for so many reasons. The only thing routine is taking my kids to school in the
morning. I do like to put in a workout whether it is at home or at the gym. Most of the time I
adjust depending on what is going on each week or day. Sometimes things get chaotic for many
reasons and that is when I stop and think about time. I am now very strict with my time, and I do
my best not to waste it on unproductive things,” she said.
Her best tip
“My best tip to start the week is to not focus on what others are doing or what works for them.
We are being taught that success is only based on doing things the way some successful people
do them. I disagree! Being successful is first being happy and doing what works for you and your
family. Every family and home have a different dynamic and if you plan based on that and it
works for you then that is all that matters.”
