Thomas Homan, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), warned Mexican cartels on Wednesday that former President Trump, if re-elected, would wipe them “off the face of the earth”
The former president has said he’d tap Homan, who had a role in the controversial Trump-era family separation policy, to serve again if he wins a second term.
Homan, during a fiery speech Wednesday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, blasted the Biden administration for a record number of border crossings over the past few years.
“This isn’t mismanagement, this isn’t incompetence, this is by design — it is a choice,” Homan said.
Homan vowed to deport people in the country without authorization and warned that Trump would designate Mexican cartels a “terrorist organization” for their role in getting fentanyl across the border.
