Three teenagers, two of them minors, were arrested by the Mexican Army in cabins in the town of El Walamito, in the municipality of Culiacán, following an anonymous tip to 089 alerting authorities to armed civilians in the Tacuichamona district, a rural area south of the city.
The operation was led by the Mexican Army in coordination with the Interinstitutional Group working in the state, comprised of federal and state forces.
According to the official report, upon receiving the call, Army personnel deployed ground reconnaissance units in the area, observed the three armed individuals entering the cabins, followed them, and proceeded to conduct a search.
The detainees, weapons, suspected drugs, and vehicles were turned over to the Attorney General’s Office for further investigation.
