José Luis Esparza, known on social media as “El Piturris,” was shot to death this Thursday morning while he was running a taqueria in the Reforma neighborhood of Ciudad Obregón, municipality of Cajeme. Local media located the attack around 11:00 a.m. in the business known as “Los Güichos”, located in the vicinity of Chihuahua and Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada streets, which allegedly belongs to the victim’s family.
The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora (FGJES) reported, through a statement, that it is keeping the investigation open into the homicide that occurred in that area of the city. The agency detailed that, according to the first data collected, the victim was attacked with firearm projectiles while he was tending the taqueria.
According to the first data released by the FGJES, José Luis, 37, was attacked by a subject who shot him while he was attending the food business. The corporation stated that the aggressor later fled aboard a motorcycle, in the company of another person who accompanied him in the vehicle.
