The federal Security Cabinet led a simultaneous operation in the early hours of Sunday in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, resulting in the execution of three search warrants and the arrest of six hitmen from “Los Deltas,” a faction identified as the armed wing of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The operation, coordinated by the Mexican Navy (SEMAR), the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), began around 6:20 a.m. with ground deployments and overflights of the Mirador del Sol neighborhood, specifically in the area bounded by Chichén Itzá, Helios, Tolvov streets, and Patria Avenue.

Authorities detailed that the court orders were granted by a judge following prior intelligence and surveillance operations aimed at weakening this criminal organization, linked to high-impact crimes such as homicide, extortion, robbery, and drug trafficking.
