Agents from the Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) executed an arrest warrant against Sirenio, who is accused of aggravated statutory rape against his 11-year-old stepdaughter in the municipality of Matamoros.
The arrest was carried out by officers from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Crimes against Children and Adolescents and Crimes against Women based on Gender (FENNAM), following a court order issued by a Control Judge of the Third Judicial Region.
According to the investigation, the assaults took place at a residence in the Infonavit Satélite neighborhood.
Prosecutors gathered the necessary evidence—including genetic samples processed by agency forensic experts—to substantiate the accused’s alleged liability and request the arrest warrant.
Sirenio was informed of his constitutional rights and placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority; an initial hearing will be held before that authority to determine his legal status in accordance with the law.
As the crime was committed against an 11-year-old girl—a case that resulted in a pregnancy and an abortion, and caused nationwide shock—the victim’s identity and information that could reveal her location remain legally protected to safeguard her rights and well-being.
A record from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), circulated on social media, lists Sirenio Ruiz as a “sexual predator” with a deportation status.According to the document, Ruiz has a conviction dated April 6, 2005, in Lee County, Florida, for a sex offense committed by an adult against a victim under the age of 12.
