The lifeless body of María Luisa Trinidad Velázquez was located on land in Chachapa, Puebla, the victim had been reported missing since September 10, 2026, after going to the Morelos Market.
At the time of discovery by elements of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the body was tied hand and foot, with signs of torture. The clothing—jean pants and gray and black sweatshirt—matched the clothing recorded in the images prior to his disappearance.
At the crime scene, the experts secured a cardboard with a Narco message from La Familia Michoacana. The letter contained accusations of treason and threats directed towards a person nicknamed “Barbie.”
The first investigations by the FGE indicate that Trinidad Velázquez remained captive in at least two different properties before her execution. Before the discovery of the body, the head of the FGE, Idamis Pastor Betancourt, and the state Secretary of Public Security, Francisco Sánchez González, confirmed that the victim had a record of arrest recorded in 2023 for the crimes of extortion and collection of flats in the Mercado Morelos area.
In a simultaneous action coordinated by the SSP, the FGE and the Secretary of the Navy (SEMAR), the security forces arrested Raúl, known as “El Gordo”, 40 years old, accused of being involved in the disappearance of the woman.
The detainee, who has a criminal record for attempted theft and concealment by receiving, was placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry along with the drugs, ammunition and the insured vehicle. The FGE keeps the investigation open to determine criminal responsibilities in the homicide.
