A package of decorative skull and apple figurines led to the discovery of hidden methamphetamine that was intended to be shipped through a company in Jalisco.
The discovery was made by agents of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), in collaboration with the Security Cabinet, at a parcel delivery company in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area.
During a security check at the site, agents located a box containing seven figurines and a sphere, in which approximately 5.766 kilograms of methamphetamine were concealed.
The authorities’ action stemmed from an anonymous tip alerting them to the possible presence of illicit substances at the location. Once the presence of the narcotics was confirmed, the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office in Jalisco formally opened an investigation, under the supervision of the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office.
In this case, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) has stated that the investigation seeks to identify those involved in the transport and storage of the drugs, as well as determine the final destination of the shipment.
