On the afternoon of Sunday, November 16, the city of Culiacán was the scene of an armed attack that claimed the life of Gerardo “N”—known as “El Jerry”—a popular social media content creator.

According to reports by *Noroeste*, the incident took place in the Tres Ríos district, one of the busiest areas of the Sinaloan capital. The 25-year-old “El Jerry” was leaving a car wash with his relative Gustavo, who also died in the attack.

The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. while the two men were traveling in a late-model gray GMC Sierra pickup truck; they were intercepted on Enrique Sánchez Alonso Boulevard by at least four armed individuals in a Volkswagen Jetta.

The attack took place near a shopping center—specifically at the intersection with José Ortiz de Domínguez Street—and just 250 meters from the offices of the Sinaloa State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).

Witnesses and residents of nearby neighborhoods alerted 911 after hearing numerous shots fired from high-caliber weapons. *Los Noticieristas* and *Quadratin* reported that the shooting lasted long enough to cause dozens of people at the nearby shopping center to drop to the ground and seek cover following the initial bursts of gunfire.
