An alleged hitman for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) confessed to incinerating the bodies of 250 people at Rancho Izaguirre in Teuchitlán, Jalisco.
In an interview broadcast on October 10 by the Italian public broadcaster’s news program Tg1, a masked man claiming to be a member of the cartel stated that more than 500 people were killed at the site and that he personally burned 250 of them.
The testimony the alleged hitman gave to journalist Stefania Battistini contradicts the version put forward by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), which has maintained that there is no evidence of cremations having taken place on the property.
The man also claimed to be secretly collaborating with the *Madres Buscadoras de Jalisco* (Searching Mothers of Jalisco), a collective that searches for missing persons in the state.
