Narciso Alemán Díaz, father of the well-known surgeon and aesthetic medicine specialist Carlos Alemán Rodríguez, was shot to death this Friday near the Santa María Estrella del Mar Parish in Playas de Tijuana.
The crime was reported at approximately 12:42 p.m.
The victim’s wife contacted emergency services and reported the incident to the authorities.
Municipal police officers found Narciso lying face down on the sidewalk, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that he showed no signs of life.
Several spent shell casings were found scattered at the scene; the area was cordoned off to allow for the investigation by agents and forensic experts from the State Attorney General’s Office.
According to witnesses, a man fired the shots and then fled the wrong way down the street. He escaped in a gray Hyundai with California license plates, heading toward the tunnel that connects Playas with the Salvatierra neighborhood.
Carlos Alemán Rodríguez is a surgeon specializing in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine, as well as the founder of a clinic in Tijuana.
