The case of Yenifer García continues to draw attention; she was undergoing the third and final session of a large tattoo—covering part of her back and buttocks—at her home in the Rafael Uribe Uribe district of southern Bogotá when the procedure ended in her death.
According to information available so far, Yenifer was given medication to sedate her and help her tolerate the pain during the procedure; however, what was intended to make the session more bearable turned into a fatal medical emergency that is now under investigation by the authorities.
A video has surfaced on social media showing the moment of her death and the arrival of authorities at her home following health complications caused by the injection of animal anesthesia—an incident that has sparked shock and outrage online.
Furthermore, according to the authorities, a key aspect investigators must clarify concerns the administration of the sedative drugs; the use of these medications has become a central element of the case due to questions regarding who supplied them and the conditions under which the procedure was performed.
