The sister of Claudia Tacoronte Aguilera, a 21-year-old Spanish student murdered in Cuautla, Morelos, questioned the institutional handling of the case and stated that neither she nor her parents have received contact from authorities to directly find out what happened or receive support, despite the fact that some institutions have publicly reported that they maintain communication with the family.
In a message spread on social networks, the young woman explained that both she and her parents have learned some of the information about the murder through the media.
He clarified that they have received calls related to legal matters and procedures derived from Claudia’s feminicide, but denied that they have been contacted to receive support or to directly explain the circumstances of the crime.
“Sorry, but absolutely no one has called my parents. And absolutely no one has called me either,” said Claudia’s sister. He added that the versions about supposed accompaniment to the family do not correspond with what they have experienced.
The statement contrasts with the statements from Mexican authorities and educational institutions, which have reported coordination with the Spanish Consulate and the willingness to provide support to the student’s family.
