Meanwhile, billboards were erected along the main thoroughfares of Chihuahua City accusing Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo of allegedly protecting “narco-governors,” referring to Rubén Rocha Moya, the Governor of Sinaloa, who was accused by the United States of having ties to drug trafficking.
The mobilization has already been hailed as “historic,” as Senator Andrea Chávez, currently on leave, stated in an interview with Los Periodistas, a program broadcast live on the SinEmbargo Al Aire YouTube channel, that it could be “the largest march in the history” of the state.
