The Baja California State Attorney General’s Office has captured Miguel “N”—alias “El Rodilla”—an alleged member of the “Los Rusos” criminal cell. He is implicated in the unlawful detention of several victims whose bodies were later discovered in clandestine graves in the town of Miguel Alemán, Mexicali.
The arrest was carried out by agents from the State Investigation Agency following intelligence work by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Forced Disappearance and Disappearance Committed by Private Individuals.
The investigation determined that at least five people were abducted and taken to a residence in Mexicali, where they were held against their will and allegedly subjected to physical abuse by their captors.
Three of the victims—Hiram “N,” René “N,” and María Lizbeth “N”—had been reported missing and were subsequently identified among the bodies found in the graves.
