28 criminals arrested by federal and state forces in the community of El Roble, Mazatlán

A joint operation by the Inter-institutional Group resulted in the arrest of 28 criminals—including two women belonging to a criminal group—and the seizure of a significant arsenal during patrols conducted this Saturday, August 8, in the community of El Roble, in the rural area of ​​Mazatlán, Sinaloa.

The operation was carried out by Mexican Army and National Guard troops during ground reconnaissance patrols, involving the coordinated participation of the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR), the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), and the State Preventive Police.

The 28 detainees, along with the weaponry, ammunition, and ballistic equipment, were transferred to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, the authority responsible for compiling the case file and determining the legal status of the accused.

Authorities stated that this operational deployment is part of ongoing strategies to strengthen security and neutralize organized crime activities in the rural area of ​​the Mazatlán municipality.
