Jesús Gabriel Pérez Rodríguez was linked to proceedings for his alleged responsibility in the crimes of embezzlement and criminal association, after the authorities identified him as part of the corruption network headed by Genaro García Luna, former Secretary of Public Security.
The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that according to the investigations, the subject would be related to a financial engineering company created by García Luna that was made up of public servants, individuals and corporations, as part of a scheme of front companies controlled by a criminal organization to launder illicit profits.
According to data obtained by this publishing house, the investigations of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO) indicate that the network was made up of four groups of public servants, individuals and legal entities that used front companies to sign simulated contracts, obtaining illicit resources through supposed provision of services without real materiality.
Once the public funds were received, the organization would have activated a front company scheme to channel the profits.
