In a breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking aimed at severing the link between Colombian criminals and foreign “invisible” kingpins, the National Police announced the capture of “El Sueco.”
Kevin Lönn Andersson, a European national based in Colombia, was arrested during an operation involving the Police Intelligence Directorate and Europol; he was identified as a key figure coordinating drug trafficking between Colombia, Europe, and the United Arab Emirates.
Investigations revealed that he was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued by Swedish judicial authorities for aggravated narcotics smuggling and was wanted in over 196 countries.
Authorities state that Lönn Andersson coordinated illicit funds, facilitated logistics, and secured trafficking routes for moving narcotics from Colombia to Europe and the Middle East. Furthermore, “El Sueco” employed sophisticated concealment methods to ship cocaine—including hiding it within cosmetic products—and utilized air and maritime routes to evade detection by international authorities.
