On the morning of January 23, 2026, Pablo Osorio Sánchez, a 26-year-old civil engineer from Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, was abducted in Concordia, Sinaloa, while on the phone with his girlfriend. He is one of more than a dozen workers, including miners, who remain missing to this day.

The young man was at a bus stop on the Durango-Mazatlán highway when the abduction occurred. He was waiting for the bus that would take him to the Concordia area, where he worked on road infrastructure projects.

According to his cousin, Damaris Osorio, in an interview with journalist Azucena Uresti, Pablo was on the phone with his girlfriend when he was kidnapped. This allowed his family to immediately realize something was wrong after the call was abruptly cut off and they were unable to contact him again.

Pablo was not abducted at the Vizsla Silver mining camp. His abduction occurred at a different location and after the first one recorded that same morning, thus broadening the scope and sequence of events that took place on January 23.
