Four truck drivers from Tamaulipas have been reported missing in the state of Oaxaca. All four were driving tanker trucks, which have since been located, but their whereabouts remain unknown.

They lost contact with their families on November 20th, while in the municipality of Matías Romero Avendaño, in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec region.

The missing men were identified as Andrés Eloy Ramos Ceja, 28; Juan José Pérez Hernández, 37; Aldher Francisco Moreno Hernández, 38, all from Reynosa; and Fernando Castro Morales, 41, from the port of Veracruz.

Their families requested assistance from the Missing Persons Collective “Love for Tamaulipas,” which reported that the trucks they were driving were found abandoned, but no clues were found regarding the drivers’ whereabouts. So far, only the family of Aldher Francisco Moreno has filed a formal complaint with the Oaxaca State Attorney General’s Office, which has already issued a missing person alert.

The other families have only notified the Oaxaca State Search Commission, in addition to investigating that the drivers lost contact with their families in an area near a security checkpoint and a truck stop.

Juan José Pérez Hernández is 37 years old and at the time of his disappearance was wearing a gray crew-neck t-shirt, jeans, and blue sneakers. He has a mole on his right cheek and a scar on his left arm.
