A federal judge ordered the arrest of businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú, owner of half of the Miss Universe franchise, who was accused by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) of having ties to members of the criminal organization La Unión Tepito and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Rodrigo Rosales Salazar, a judge at the Federal Criminal Justice Center in the State of Querétaro, ordered his arrest for the alleged crimes of organized crime, firearms trafficking, and hydrocarbon trafficking.

However, federal sources commented that the warrant was not executed because Rocha Cantú accepted a plea bargain, meaning he became a cooperating witness for the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO).

Likewise, the judge ordered the capture of Jacobo Reyes León, Yaicob and/or El Lic and/or El Licenciado; Jorge Alberts Ponce and/or Jorge Enrique Alberts Ponce, alias Yoryi and/or Licenciado; Alejandro Jacob Álvarez Arriaga, alias Ale; Daniel Roldán Morales alias El Inge and/or Dani; Sergio Hurtado Perea, alias Hurtado and/or Ingeniero Hurtado; Mari Carmen Ramírez Rodríguez, alias La Fiscal and/or La Lic; Sergio Abraham Lara Paz, alias Lara; and Elizabeth Muzquiz Pineda.
