One of the most influential Republicans in the Senate demanded this Thursday that the DEA and the FBI hand over all information about the links between Genaro García Luna and his agencies to determine when and how they found out that he was corrupt.
“Please explain what each of your agencies knew about Garcia Luna’s corruption and criminal activity, when they learned of that information, and how they learned of that information,” wrote Senator Chuck Grassley, the nation’s top-ranking Republican lawmaker. minority on the Judiciary Committee.
In his letter to DEA Administrator Anne Milgram and FBI Director Christopher Wray, Grassley also demands that they “identify the individuals to whom your agencies communicated such information [about García Luna’s corruption] and the dates on which every piece of information was communicated.”
