Elements of the Secretary of the Navy (Semar) detained Dilan Peña Escalante, alias “London”, identified as a logistics operator for Los Salazar in the municipalities of Guaymas and Empalme, Sonora. Emanuel Antonio Ibarra Miranda was captured with him.
The operation was carried out within the framework of Operation Shield “Sable Component” and represented an economic impact on the criminal group estimated at 25,714,558.90 pesos.
The searches were carried out in two properties located in San Carlos, Guaymas, in the Posgeo and Bonita sectors.
In addition to Navy personnel, elements of the Ministerial Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC), as well as state and municipal police of Sonora, participated in the action. This inter-institutional coordination responded to the guidelines of Operation Shield, whose component called “Sable” concentrated the work that led to the searches.
