The live stream of influencer César Gastélum recorded, minutes before his murder, the moment a motorcycle with two men on board passed by the KFC located in the Tres Ríos Urban Development in Culiacán, Sinaloa.
The audio captured one of the passengers warning: “Those guys scare me.” Shortly after, the same men returned and shot him in the head. Gastélum died at the scene on the night of Tuesday, August 4.
The content creator, known among his followers as “Cesarín,” had more than 577,000 followers on TikTok and more than 22.2 million likes on that platform. The live stream during which he was murdered was on Kick, a streaming platform where he operated under the alias “compasexor.”
In the clip, one of Gastélum’s companions can be heard saying, “Let’s go, guys,” and someone responds, “No, the motorcycle, the motorcycle,” in a tone of astonishment. The exchange ends with a warning that foreshadows what was about to happen: “No, listen, I felt really sick. No, no, no, listen, those kids scare me.”
