President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reported that yesterday, Sunday, June 28, Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, sent a letter via the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE) requesting further assistance.
“It is a letter they sent to Mexico and other countries (…) asking for more support,” Sheinbaum said.
Rodríguez requested the following from the Mexican government:
Water purification units.
Electric power units.
Food (non-perishable products).
According to Sheinbaum Pardo, the aid will be transported by both plane and a Mexican Navy ship.
