Authorities in Sinaloa arrested two people in the Los Ángeles neighborhood of Culiacán, identified as the alleged perpetrators of the kidnapping of influencer La Nicholette. Assault rifles, magazines, and two thousand pills of what appeared to be fentanyl were seized from them.
According to information released by the Sinaloa State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), the arrests occurred in Culiacán after a citizen reported armed individuals in the Los Ángeles area.
Therefore, an operation was launched, coordinated by the Interinstitutional Group, comprised of members of the State Public Security Secretariat, the Sinaloa Special Operations Group (GOES) of the State Preventive Police, the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Navy, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic, and the State Attorney General’s Office.
Upon arriving at the scene, GOES officers observed an armed man outside a residence. Upon noticing the arrival of the authorities, this individual quickly entered the building, where he was pursued and apprehended. Inside the house, another civilian was found.
