A violent armed robbery aboard a Route 27 minibus in the city of Puebla left three people wounded by gunfire—including a woman reported to be in serious condition. The crime was committed by two low-life thieves and was captured on the vehicle’s video surveillance system.
The incident took place on the morning of Saturday, August 15, on Prolongación 5 Norte, near 80 Poniente Street, between the Revolución Mexicana and Anexo La Loma neighborhoods. According to recordings and gathered testimonies, the assailants boarded vehicle number 34 posing as ordinary passengers; seconds later, they drew firearms to rob the passengers and the driver of their belongings.
Upon realizing a robbery was in progress, some passengers attempted to confront the criminals, who responded by firing indiscriminately inside the public transport vehicle.
Paramedics from Municipal Civil Protection and the Advanced Medical Emergency System (SUMA) arrived at the scene to provide first aid to the victims and transport them to a hospital. Meanwhile, municipal police officers and investigative agents from the State Attorney General’s Office launched an investigation to locate the assailants.
