During a press conference on May 20, Lara López highlighted the investigation into a recording that appears to show officials meeting with a criminal leader.
“Material disseminated by various media outlets showing the mayors of Morelos, specifically those of Cuautla and Atlataucán, elected in June 2024, as well as other officials and elected representatives of the state, was incorporated into the investigation when they likely met with Júpiter N,” the statement read.
