The San Luis Potosí State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has initiated forensic investigations to determine if the body found in the municipality of Villa de Reyes belongs to Tatiana Vanessa Almanza García. She was a 32-year-old Colombian citizen working as an escort who had been reported missing in late August 2026.
State Attorney General María Manuela García Cázares confirmed the discovery, which took place on the night of Tuesday, September 1. She explained that due to the body’s advanced state of decomposition, it is essential to conduct genetic profiling (DNA analysis) and a statutory autopsy to confirm the identity and establish the cause of death.
According to the State Search Commission (CEBP) file, the last recorded contact with the woman occurred on August 28 in the city of San Luis Potosí.
After an initial phone call raised the alarm about her disappearance, the victim’s sister filed a formal complaint via videoconference from Colombia and established direct communication with the FGE.
Official investigations indicate that Almanza García was not a permanent resident of the state; she had recently traveled from Mexico City for work, operating as an escort through the platform “La Boutique VIP.”
Despite the condition in which the body was found, forensic experts identified distinguishing marks matching the woman’s description, including a specific tattoo noted in the missing person report.
The head of the agency confirmed that the victim’s family has traveled to the city of San Luis Potosí to follow up on the official proceedings and handle the necessary legal formalities.
