A joint operation carried out by the Sinaloa Special Operations Group (GOES) of the State Preventive Police and the Mexican Army led to the arrest of nine Hitmen—including five foreigners—and the seizure of high-powered firearms, tactical equipment and drugs in the municipality of Rosario.
The intervention occurred during prevention and surveillance tours in the community of Agua Verde, where security forces detected a property with the presence of hitmen. Upon discovery, the troops deployed a perimeter device that allowed the area to be neutralized and the suspects captured.
Among the nine people detained are two women – one of them a minor – as well as four men of Colombian nationality and one of Cuban origin.
Both the detainees and the weapons, the ballistic equipment and the seized drugs were transferred and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), a body that will make up the corresponding investigation folder to determine the legal situation of those involved and the origin of the arsenal.
