On Sunday, Nicolás Maduro’s X account published a thread featuring photographs in which the former Venezuelan leader appears smiling and posing. The images—which, according to visible data, are dated June 25, 2026—were shared alongside a message for his supporters.
One photograph shows a full-body shot of Maduro wearing a gray sweatshirt and making a peace sign with one hand. The second image shows him from the waist up, also in a gray sweatshirt, holding a pair of glasses in one hand while repeating the peace sign with the other.
The photos also show a cinder-block wall and—according to the information displayed on the images—a date and time stamp of June 25, 2026, at 6:05 p.m. Along with the photos, Maduro’s account posted several messages stating that he is doing well and thanking his followers for their expressions of support.
He described the post as a “small gift of love and hope,” explaining: “I am sending these photos as a small gift to all my grandsons and granddaughters, to the children, and to all the noble people who love us.”
