Comedians Brincos Dieras (Roberto Carlo Oliva Barajas) and La Chupitos (Liliana Arriaga Franco) opened up about having performed shows for criminal groups.

During a recent interview with Adela Micha, the comedian from Monterrey even confessed, “They gave me a $10,000 tip,” while discussing a holiday party he was hired to perform at over 15 years ago.

The conversation, recorded for the *La Saga* channel, also featured crime reporter Carlos Jiménez and shed light on a practice that various Mexican artists have acknowledged at different times in recent years.

Brincos Dieras recounted that, more than 15 years ago, he was hired for a holiday party for “people of that sort”—as he described them—attended by nearly 300 armed men and 50 women. The comedian explained that all the attendees were lined up and the atmosphere was tense from the start of the event.

The group’s boss handed him $5,000 in cash with a direct instruction: “Here, man, here’s five thousand dollars. Do whatever you want with it—blow it all,” he said, according to the comedian’s account. With that money, Brincos Dieras organized a contest among those present.

The activity involved escalating the nature of the jokes until eight men ended up kissing in front of the rest of the group. “I started a contest and all that. It started off really well. I got them going; I made eight guys kiss,” he recounted. The “boss”—referring to the drug lord—reacted by slamming the table in excitement, in what Brincos Dieras described as a moment of total euphoria.
