Juan Luis Martínez “El Bosho,” lead singer of Grupo Dorado de Abasolo, murdered in front of his family

Mexican regional music has once again suffered the loss of one of its leading figures after the death of singer Juan Luis Martínez, better known as “El Bosho,” lead singer of the band “Grupo Dorado de Abasolo,” was confirmed.

Last weekend, “Grupo Dorado de Abasolo” shared the sad news of Juan Luis Martínez’s death, “El Bosho,” on their social media. Fans of the group expressed their condolences to the musician’s family and friends.

On the night of Sunday, October 26, a murder was reported inside a home on Libertad Street in the Los Pirules neighborhood of Guanajuato state. Hours later, it was confirmed that the victim was Juan Luis Martínez “El Bosho,” a member of “Grupo Dorado de Abasolo.”

Through their social media, the group specializing in regional Mexican music shared a photograph of Juan Luis Martínez “El Bosho” and bid him a final farewell with a heartfelt message that moved their fans on Facebook.

Days later, on Tuesday, October 28, “Grupo Dorado de Abasolo” posted a new message announcing that the memorial mass for “El Bosho” would be held this Wednesday, October 29, at 1:00 p.m. Their followers showed them their support during this difficult time.
