Luis Adán ‘N’—known as ‘Isac’ or ‘500’—a key associate of Franklin Ernesto Huezo Hernández (‘El Ranchero’), was captured during an operation on Friday night.

‘El Ranchero’ works for brothers Alfonso Arzate García (‘Aquiles’) and René Arzate García (‘La Rana’), who operate on behalf of the Sinaloa Cartel. This week, the U.S. Department of the Treasury identified Huezo Hernández as one of their top lieutenants and exposed a network of businesspeople and companies linked to that Sinaloa Cartel structure in Baja California.

What are the accusations against Luis Adán ‘N’ (‘Isac’ or ‘500’)?
The 32-year-old detainee, a native of Veracruz, is linked to more than 20 homicides.

This was reported in 2023 by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) following his arrest for allegedly ordering the murder of ministerial agent José Alberto Enríquez Martínez (‘El Potro’).

The officer was shot on March 22 of that year in the Pórticos de Santa Fe neighborhood of Tijuana and died hours later.

Despite that criminal history, Luis Adán was once again at liberty. It is unknown what legal ruling allowed for his release from prison.

Luis Adán has been handed over to the Federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR) along with doses of narcotics and a 9mm pistol.
