The home of former Chihuahua Governor Javier Corral Jurado—located in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua—was found this morning defaced with graffiti on its walls and a funeral wreath, acts linked to a dispute over the property’s ownership.
According to local media reports, Esperanza Miranda Molinar—who passed away in May 2026—was identified as the property’s original owner and was allegedly dispossessed of the home.
Reports indicate that the property was purportedly acquired by the then-governor at a price below the home’s actual market value.
Messages reading “RIP Esperanza Miranda” and “RIP Esperanza Miranda Molinar” were scrawled on the residence, which is located at the intersection of Costa Rica and Ignacio de la Peña streets in the Partido Romero neighborhood.
Black crosses and a funeral wreath were also observed on the home’s front door.
