Agents from the Ministerial Investigative Police, attached to the Guerrero State Attorney General’s Office, executed an arrest warrant against a priest identified as Nicolás for the rape of a minor.

The arrest took place in the port of Acapulco, specifically in the vicinity of the Buen Pastor Seminary located in the Costa Azul neighborhood. The detention resulted from a coordinated operation involving ministerial agents and state and federal public security forces.

According to the investigation file, the alleged events occurred in November 2025 within the municipality of Acapulco de Juárez. As the victim is a minor, their identity is being kept strictly confidential in compliance with international human rights protection protocols.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office gathered sufficient evidence and grounds to request the judicial order from a Control Judge; the warrant was granted and subsequently executed by investigative agents.

Following his arrest, Nicolás was transferred and placed at the disposal of the requesting judicial authority. The initial hearing is expected to take place in the coming hours; at that time, the court will determine his legal status and rule on whether he will be formally bound over for trial, while prosecutors continue the legal proceedings to establish liability.
