The match between the Mexican and English national teams, corresponding to the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, has generated a lot of excitement in both nations. However, fans from both countries kicked off the festivities ahead of Sunday’s game.

As a result, English fans, who arrived in Mexico City days in advance, went viral this Saturday after throwing a party in various locations throughout the capital.

In several videos on social media, English fans were captured enjoying Mexico City with alcoholic beverages, chants, and dancing.

For example, in one of the clips, a group of Brits can be seen aboard a trajinera (a traditional Mexican boat) on the canals of Xochimilco. There, with plenty of beer, they enjoyed the ride, chanting in support of their team.

Similarly, as seen in other videos, various clubs, bars, and restaurants were packed with England fans, demonstrating their enthusiasm ahead of Sunday’s match.

Furthermore, as a symbol of what the English team has achieved so far, fans performed the Oasis song “Wonderwall.”
