The 67th edition of the Ariel Awards, an event organized by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMAAC), will take place this Saturday, September 20, at 8:00 PM, at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center in Jalisco.
The 42 nominated productions in 24 categories will be recognized at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center.
It is worth mentioning that the Ariel Awards are considered the highest honor in Mexican cinema, as they bring together directors, producers, screenwriters, actors, and technicians whose work has boosted the Mexican film industry in recent months.
Before the ceremony begins, the nominees will begin their walk on the red carpet at 4:00 PM. Four hours later, the 67th edition will begin, which can also be streamed on Max. The adaptation of “Pedro Páramo,” directed by Rodrigo Prieto, leads the competition with 16 nominations, including Best Film, Direction, and Cinematography.
The film inspired by the work of Juan Rulfo tops the list of finalists, followed by “La cocina” and “No nos moverán,” which each have 13 nominations.
